Country

Expectations, Desires, Interests:

Think of a few paragraphs or, a stream of consciousness, that includes the following:

Trip length/Time of year

Africa offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round, but planning ahead is essential—especially for high season (dry months) when animals gather at water sources and visibility is best. High season requires booking 12-18 months in advance and comes with peak pricing.

Low season offers significant savings, fewer crowds, and easier booking, though you may encounter denser vegetation and afternoon showers. You might also see newborns and lush green landscapes.

Accommodation Style

Safari accommodations range from rustic to ultra-luxurious. Tented and thatched options keep you close to nature in unfenced camps where wildlife roams freely. Don't assume tented means budget—some of the most luxurious safari accommodations are canvas with full amenities.

Accommodation types:

Mobile tents: Basic dome tents moved nightly on group safaris. Cot beds, eco-facilities.

Seasonal camps: Remote locations with comfortable tents or thatched buildings. Proper beds, flush toilets.

Semi-permanent tents: Canvas luxury that looks permanent but leaves no environmental impact. Full bathrooms, often with tubs and indoor/outdoor showers.

Brick & mortar: Traditional cottages and lodges with amenities like AC. Mid-range to high-end.

Budget

Safari will likely be one of your most expensive trips, but our clients consistently say it's worth every penny. We specialize in smaller, intimate camps in remote areas that offer authentic experiences away from mass tourism. While pricier than mainstream options, this investment provides pristine wilderness, expert guides, and memorable encounters.

What drives safari costs: Safari camps range from $450-$3,000+ per person per night (all-inclusive: meals, drinks, activities, park fees). Higher prices typically reflect prime locations and superior experiences—fewer people per vehicle, expert guides, quality equipment, unlimited game drives—rather than just luxury amenities. Some basic tented camps cost more than luxury lodges because they prioritize experience over accommodation.

Cost factors include: country/region, seasonality, remoteness, guide quality, vehicle policies, privacy, amenities, and air vs. land transfers.

Our philosophy:

Invest in exceptional bush experiences; save on urban areas. Focus on fewer regions in-depth rather than cramming too much into one trip—Africa will call you back!

We're completely independent and committed to maximizing value within your budget, whether mid-range or high-end.
